I took pictures of the femoral pores of my igs for those having a tough time sexing their iguanas.  I thought it would help to have something to compare to your own iguana's pores.

I plan on adding another page of pores of the other species of lizards I have- very soon. You can see tokay gecko pores here.

1) Igor's pores, (8.5 year old male)  He's worn down the wax a lot and you can see on four of the pores where there is new wax is coming in.

2) Oobleck's pores, (6 year old female)  They're very different from when I first got her.  Her thighs were so swollen that it gave the appearance of wax protruding from the pores.  Now that the swelling in her thighs is gone, her pores appear to be that of a normal female.

6) Mandelbrot's pores.  This picture gives you a better look at the size of the pores in comparison to the size of her body.  She's quite a big girl and her pores are tiny.

7) CDR's pores. (almost 7 years old)  He's had some skin problems in the area that have pretty much cleared up with the exception that his scales didn't come back around that area.  I have to keep a close eye on that area when he sheds.

8) I finally got a picture of Hobbes' pores (an almost 11 1/2 years old female- picture taken 8/4/00) They are almost non-existent.
